    Job Description:

    Participates in the educational process that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of orientation and continuing professional development for the hospital staff as well as patient/community health teaching.

     

    PAY RANGE: $86,000 - $120,621.62

    Job Requirements:

    1. **Education/Experience (minimum required)** **:** Master’s degree in nursing required. Prefer masters concentration in nursing education. BSN degree required. Professional nursing certification preferred.

    2. **Experience:** Five years of active, acute nursing experience; one or more years of relevant experience in educational planning/teaching.

    3. **License/Certification Required** **:** Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State; Certification as Nursing Professional Development Specialist preferred; AHA CPR BLS required. Instructor status for CPR BLS preferred. ACLS and/or PALS instructor preferred

    4. **Skills** **:** Computer experience required. (Preferred experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, internet search functions, multimedia presentation applications, document design applications and learning management systems)
