Job Summary and Qualifications
Full time (Monday - Friday, day shift), no nights, no on-call, no weekends, no holidays
Seeking a Cardiovascular Technician (Cardiac Device Tech) for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:
+ Prepare, educate, and perform a variety of examinations, tests, and procedures following established protocols. Monitor patients during examinations and tests and report results to the physician.
+ Provide timely flow of office patients. Assist in the delivery of care under the direction of the physician.
+ Ability to react in the event of a cardiac emergency.
+ Prepare patients for examinations and treatments including taking and recording vital signs.
+ Perform standard EKG procedures by following established protocol.
+ Prepare exam rooms with the necessary supplies and equipment.
+ Assistant with additional testing of patients. Basic knowledge of equipment.
+ Monitor patients following established protocols.
+ Assist with scheduling, calls, patient education, under the direction of the physician and/or in coordination with the practice manager.
+ Assist with office and medical supply maintenance.
+ Responsible for crash cart supplies. Knowledge of crash cart policies, procedures, medications, and equipment.
+ Assist with clinical duties including basic phone skills and computer skills.
+ Perform other duties as required.
+ Must read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
+ Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Values Statement.
+ Adhere to established rules, ethical standards, regulations and laws of the profession.
What Qualifications you will need:
+ Minimum of five years’ experience analyzing and reprogramming cardiac pacemaker and AICDs (Biotronik, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and St. Jude) OR cardiac device technology certification from a recognized device training school.
+ Experience reviewing and managing remote device transmissions (Carelink, Latitude, and Merlin).
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
+ License and/or certification required as according to state regulations
+ Credentialing for cardiovascular techs is available from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
