    **BayCare** is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate **Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)** to join our acute care team on a POOL/PRN basis. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to patients in an acute hospital setting. **St. Anthony's** **Hospita** **l** , founded in 1931 by the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, has a long tradition of providing a wide range of exceptional health care services to our community.     Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:

    + Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.

    + Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and therapeutic activities to improve strength, range of motion, and functional mobility.

    + Monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.

    + Educate patients and families on exercises and techniques for continued care and recovery.

    + Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.

    + Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.

    + Adhere to infection control and safety protocols within the hospital environment.

    Qualifications:

    + Required associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

    + Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months.

    + Required Current state licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

    + CPR certification (BLS required).

    + Prior experience in an acute care or hospital setting preferred.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs and schedules.
