The incumbent is responsible for verifying Product Compliance by Performing Testing as dictated by Product Requirements and Quality Standards. This includes testing trial product and new tests related to new product development, Monitoring Production and performing Visual Inspections in order to ensure that quality standards are met. Must satisfactorily complete associated training programs. Must possess an understanding of the operation, as well as knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, PSDR and other systems for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

This is a temporary role with an expectation of 4 - 6 months.

Shift is Mon - Fri 2pm to 10:30pm

Training on 1st shift

Pay starts at $19.50/hr

Overtime available at 1.5x base pay!

• The incumbent is required to have a High School Diploma or GED, and an Associate’s Degree in related field is preferred.

• The candidate will have 2 years of work-related experience in Quality Assurance testing and new testing procedures or 4 years Manufacturing experience in technical fabrics/textile industry. (Preferred)

• A Measurement Test will be required.

• The candidate to have 12 months Lab/Testing experience (Required)

• The incumbent must possess strong organizational skills, as well as be thorough detail-oriented and be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills are essential as well as ability to communicate, interact effectively and successfully with others.

• The Incumbent must be familiar with a Windows Based PC and Microsoft Office Software.

• The position works with a wide range of people representing many different internal and external functions. The ability to communicate verbally and in writing, convey leadership, solve multifaceted problems, and operate with consistency with a sense of fairness is a strong nature of the position.

• Performs quality control testing on finished and intermediate products. Also performs QC testing on samples from all areas of the site, including Cement Board, Laid Scrim, Knitting, Converting, etc. • Completes requests for Technical Data Specification Sheets and samples for Sales. • Records test result data manually and electronically. • Perform Internal Calibrations as needed. • Maintains database for non-conforming product and follows through to solution. • Participates in investigations of quality complaints. Responsible for the follow-up and reports on quality indicators (e.g. historical data of test results). • Participates in process and product audits, as well as QMS audits. • Responsible for observing safety precautions at all times. Must work in a manner that is safe while continuously ensuring quality, production and performance expectations are met. Responsible for performing SMATs and/or TFs and be an active participant in all other facility audit, manufacturing and efficiency programs. This includes WCM involvement in projects and/or meetings, as required. Incumbents are responsible for ensuring 5S standards are met and maintained. • Show a proactive commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement. • Be capable of planning, executing and delivering results on time. • Document results in a manner that is consistent with company intellectual property procedures. • Must be able to provide written and oral reports on their work. • Work closely with colleagues to ensure that their methods and results are technically sound. • Ensure that lab equipment is in proper working condition and that laboratory safety is proactively followed and continuously improved. • It is expected that the candidate will proactively communicate results to all customers. • Overtime may be required to fill gaps in Lab Coverage due to either PTO or Business needs. • May have to travel between Albion Main Plant, Flexscreen (OAK98), and/or Amherst Sales Office.
