    The Administrator I collaborates with the Assistant Vice President for Compliance and Risk Management to provide expertise in operational enterprise risk management and compliance for the HSC. Evaluates complex problems, develops solutions, and ensures compliance with various accreditation requirements.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Seven years of related experience in administration, program management, risk and compliance, or a related field.

    Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Strong operational understanding of risk management and compliance across multiple areas, including university, healthcare, and research.

    + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Strong interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.

    + Ability to present information clearly and concisely.

    + Ability to comprehend and interpret policies and procedures.

    + Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

    + Knowledge of accounting methods and audit standards.

    + Preferred Qualifications:

    + Advanced degree in applicable fields related to business operations.

    + Experience in dealing with complex organizational structures and/or academia settings. Knowledge and experience in worker’s compensation, and occupational health programs, conducting risk assessments.

    + Applicable industry certifications (CRM, PRM, RIMS Fellow, CHCO)

    Responsibilities

    Program Management

    + Oversees daily operations of the HSC Risk Transfer Program, ensuring insurance coverage is secured, maintained, and communicated to HSC components .

    + Collaborates with HSC to establish and maintain internal TAMUH processes, fostering connections and partnerships between Texas A&M Health, the University, and third-party partners as appropriate.

    + Develops internal TAMUH operational and procedural processes, as well as regulations and procedures for Risk Management.

    + Establishes and updates Risk Management procedures, advising HSC departments.

    + Coordinates and support TAMU Research Security for the Visiting Scholars program.

    + Manages HSC export control compliance programs, serving as a liaison for export control issues, conducting Restricted Party Screenings, and material assessments.

    + Reviews requests and applications for programs involving minors, keeping personnel informed of current rules and requirements, including documentation, training, and deadlines.

    + Ensures all HSC entities plan and operate events involving minors according to TAMU and TAMUS policies.

    + Analyzes internal processes and operations, making recommended changes to procedures and policies which applies to various parts, including overseeing and managing the Program for Minors.

    + Prepares and reviews operational and special reports, auditing these reports to assist in coordination follow-up based on the findings to improve functions within Risk Management.

    + Reviews HSC travel requests, keeping personnel informed of current rules and requirements for travel, including international travel to extreme risk areas.

    + Ensures HSC travel policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with System, State, and Federal requirements.

    + Distributes email notifications for extreme risk countries and regions.

    Insurance Management

    + Oversees policy and loss analysis, coordinating loss control management and training sessions for HSC departments.

    + Makes recommendations to leadership based on the collected and analyzed data, including claims history of medical malpractice policies, workers’ compensation, and bloodborne pathogen exposures for state reporting.

    + Serves as the point of contact for all incidents of bodily injury or property damage.

    + Reviews HSC incidents involving staff for processing through Worker’s Compensation Insurance, coordinating necessary documentation for delivery to A&M System Worker’s Compensation department.

    + Reviews all HSC incidents involving students, especially sharps injuries, ensuring timely and complete reporting, including TDSHS Sharps Injury Report and updating the Sharps Injury Reporting Log if needed.

    + Reviews incidents involving visitors, ensuring timely and complete reporting, collection of on-site treatment records, witness statements, and audiovisual documentation if available.

    + Reviews incidents involving HSC property damage, including facilities damage, motor vehicle accidents, and other insured property damage.

    + Ensures existing agency/member rules and procedures are up to date and compliant with System, State, and Federal requirements.

    + Provides insurance verification and claims history for requestors, proof of insurance to Colleges/Centers every FY, and verify all contractual requirements.

    + Manages site inspections, boiler and machinery permits, and other insurance requests in collaboration with Campus Operations.

    Compliance & Training

    + Coordinate the quarterly HSC Compliance Plan report and monitor progress on compliance goals to drive improvement.

    + Perform compliance reviews at various levels, including management and internal controls.

    + Collaborate on the A&M System Offices compliance risk assessment and plan.

    + Monitors new and revised A&M System policies and regulations to ensure compliance and track progress on implementation within Risk Management.

    + Drafts new HSC rules and procedures as necessary, ensuring they are accessible and compliant with System, State, and Federal requirements, and then train all HSC employees on these new rules and procedures.

    + Reviews and designs HSC-specific employee training programs, ensuring appropriate course assignments.

    + Monitor all HSC personnel training using TrainTraq and the data warehouse and train all HSC personnel on new policies and regulations.

    + Participates in operational and best practice reviews, including organizational structure, economy, and efficiency studies .

    + Assists leadership in compliance and ethics investigations and reviews.

    + Evaluates potential risks for new projects or activities.

    + Conducts investigations as directed by the TAMH AVP for Compliance and Risk Management.

    + Monitors HSC Guest Access, ensuring proper identification, screening, and training for access to facilities and IT resources.

    + Conducts outreach to obtain additional information to support access requests and coordinate submissions with VPR, IT, HR, and other entities.

    + Consults and advises HSC entities on the preparation and annual review of business continuity plans, overseeing tabletop exercise development and presentation.

    + Develops training initiatives and communicates, coordinates, and collects data from annual ERM surveys for HSC entities, maintaining ERM records in Origami.
