    Overview

     

    We are seeking aPhysical Therapy Assistant (PTA), internally referred to as our Rehabilitation Assistant or Physiotherapy Assistant, in our Therapy Department . As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for St. Joseph Medical Center Therapy Department you will work under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist. You should you want to work in a friendly team-oriented environment and have some or all of the required experience.     Shift’s Available: Days

     

    Employment Type:Per Diem (PRN)

     

    Hours:8-hour shift: 8:00a – 4:30p, 1 weekend day and holiday rotation

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + Provides medically prescribed therapeutic services in order to restore function and prevent disability in patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary and/or integumentary disorders

    + Performs responsibilities in accordance with Physical Therapy, state and federal regulatory, licensing and accrediting requirements

    + Treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions

    + We have an awesome team atmosphere!

    + Our shift needs are: 8:00-4:30pm, 1 weekend day and holiday rotation; weekdays as needed/available

    Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

     

    Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

     

    + Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

    + current state Physical Therapist Assistant license

    + current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

    Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

    + some experience
