    **Location:** Charleston, WV

    **Employment Type:** Full-time

    **Pay Range:** $65,000–$75,000/year

    **Schedule:** Traditional Office Hours

    1. Overview / Why This Role Matters

    • **Lead with purpose – Our client is looking for a Chief Financial Officer and help drive financial excellence in support of community impact!**

    2. Key Responsibilities / What You’ll Do

    + Direct the financial affairs of the agency, within the parameters outlined by the President and Board of Directors

    + Direct and coordinate activities and staff of the accounting department

    + Establish, implement and maintain financial objectives, policies, budgets, and projections

    + Prepare and present accurate and timely reports to the President, senior staff, board, grantors, and governmental entities

    + Monthly analysis of cash flow, operational budget, investments, and all other financial aspects of the organization

    + Advise management and board on needed operational adjustments due to changes in tax laws

    + Maintain capital outlay and fixed asset depreciation schedules, and recommend investment of capital

    + Develop the operational budget, monitor implementation, and recommend changes

    + Prepare documentation required for the annual audit

    + Develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures related to internal controls and financial management

    + Staff the Finance Committee and work with the Treasurer of the Board

    3. Required Skills & Qualifications

    Must-Have

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance

    + Minimum four years of experience in accounting or related field

    + Strong organizational and decision-making skills, analytical and problem solving abilities, and interpersonal skills

    + Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and short-term deadlines

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Strong understanding of and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel

    Nice-to-Have

    + Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

    + Two years of supervisory experience

    + Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

    + Experience with nonprofits and federal/state grants

    + Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Andar Software
