Senior Developer Content Designer

Treat developers like valued customers, helping them learn how to effectively use the Sage Intacct APIs. From getting started guides to detailed API references, your content will empower developers by supplying the information they need to extend Sage Intacct and integrate with its financial data.

Day-to-day snapshot:

You'll create and fact-check technical documentation, turning complex concepts into clear, accessible content without unnecessary jargon. Using your API knowledge, you'll develop resources that help both internal developers and external partners understand and use Sage Intacct APIs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Author high-quality technical documentation in Markdown, using GitHub for version control and our internal platform for publishing.

• Collaborate with the Developer Content colleagues to complete writing assignments aligned with project goals and timelines.

• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other global teams to collect, clarify, and confirm technical information needed for accurate documentation.

• Participate in peer reviews to maintain consistency, accuracy, and quality across documentation.

• Track writing progress, identify open questions, and document areas requiring further investigation.

• Use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to streamline content creation, enhance editorial quality, and scale documentation efforts.

Minimum qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as a technical writer, with at least 3 years focused on developer documentation.

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI; familiarity with XML APIs is a plus.

• Proficiency with GitHub and YAML preferred.

• Strong portfolio showcasing original writing samples, including developer how-to guides and API references.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT; Copilot preferred.

• Passion for advocating on behalf of developer users.

• Composure, sound judgment, and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
