    Responsibilities

    The Volunteer Services Coordinator supports the Volunteer Services department and leadership team. This role is responsible for volunteer orientation, training, coordinating, scheduling, and the retention of volunteers. Additionally, they will coordinate with the volunteer team for the creation of reports as needed to track volunteer placement statistics, hours served and number of active volunteers. Department specific system knowledge and management is required. The role will also maintain volunteer files, office supplies, and other office needs as assigned. This role may provide back-up support to other related departments.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: (Education Requirements and Experience): Experience: Three years experience in health field, youth leadership and/or volunteer leadership preferred. Experience with computer keyboard and personal computer (PC) applications required. Must possess demonstrated management skills to include leadership, problem solving, communications, organization, and goal setting. Supervisory experience preferred. Education: Two year post-secondary degree required. Four year degree preferred.

    Additional Experience and/or Qualifications: (Has Achieved Competency in the Following Areas, Job

    Knowledge and Additional Considerations): Special Skills: Must be able to develop positive relationships with a wide segment of the community and successfully emulate the mission of the medical center. Excellent verbal skills are required. Must have initiative and be able to work without close supervision.
