    Job Title: Superintendent of Construction

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee Warehouse/Trucking Terminal Projects nationwide. This role involves managing on-site construction activities while actively participating in carpentry work. You will coordinate subcontractors, labor, and materials, conduct site inspections, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate closely with the project manager.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee on-site construction activities and engage in hands-on carpentry work.

    + Coordinate and manage subcontractors, labor, and materials on the construction site.

    + Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project plans.

    + Perform basic carpentry tasks including framing, installation, repairs, and finishing.

    + Collaborate with the project manager to achieve project goals within specified timelines.

    + Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients and team members.

    + Implement and enforce safety protocols and actively participate in safety initiatives.

    + Provide on-site leadership, guidance, and support to the construction team.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience as a construction site supervisor with hands-on carpentry skills.

    + Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

    + Proficiency in carpentry tasks such as framing, PEMB, light gauge metal framing, finishing, and repairs.

    + Ability to lead and coordinate on-site construction activities effectively.

    + Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    + Basic understanding of project management principles.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Relevant certifications in carpentry or construction supervision are a plus.

    + Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a dynamic construction environment.

    + Experience with commercial and industrial construction, blueprint reading, and subcontractor management.

    + Familiarity with safety protocols, project scheduling, and construction supervision.

    + Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore.

    Work Environment

    The role involves 100% travel, overseeing projects nationwide. The work environment is dynamic and requires effective management of on-site construction activities.

    This is a full-time traveling position

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
