Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee and manage all financial aspects of our organization. As a full charge bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports. This position is ideal for a skilled accounting professional who thrives in an autonomous role and has experience handling complex bookkeeping tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger maintenance.

+ Oversee payroll processing, including calculating and filing payroll taxes, and ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.

+ Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly to guarantee accurate financial records.

+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.

+ Handle quarterly and annual tax filings and collaborate with external accountants during tax season.

+ Conduct month-end and year-end close processes to ensure all financial data is accurate and complete.

+ Monitor and manage cash flow and budgeting, providing regular updates to senior management.

+ Handle job costing and inventory tracking, if applicable, to support business operations.

+ Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring readiness for audits or compliance reviews.

+ Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

+ Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.

+ Proven experience as a bookkeeper, including full charge bookkeeping responsibilities.

+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

+ Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms, and advanced Excel skills.

+ Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and reporting.

+ Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

+ Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

+ Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance regulations.

+ Experience with multi-entity accounting or industry-specific bookkeeping (e.g., construction, property management) is a plus.
