Job Title: Product Development Engineer

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Product Development Engineer, where you will support multiple new product introduction (NPI) project teams in developing the next generation of products for the electrical industries worldwide. As a technical lead, you will play a crucial role in proposing, designing, and developing innovative products that meet global demands. You will utilize your expertise in SOLIDWORKS to create models and drawings, collaborate with various departments, and assist commercial teams during customer visits. Your role will also involve conducting market research, supporting project planning, and preparing detailed specifications.

Responsibilities

+ Lead and support multiple NPI project teams to develop new products.

+ Propose, design, and develop products for electrical industries globally.

+ Create SOLIDWORKS models and drawings.

+ Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and end-users to generate product ideas.

+ Assist commercial teams during customer visits.

+ Research and provide market intelligence and feedback to commercial teams.

+ Support project planning by reviewing requirements and creating engineering task backlogs.

+ Prepare material, component, and product specifications.

+ Validate designs, create prototypes, and assist in third-party testing.

+ Support NPI activities during commercialization and product launch.

+ Conduct NPI training for sales, customer care, and customers.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

+ 3+ years of experience in NPI/NPD design.

+ Proficient in SOLIDWORKS.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Injection Molding.

+ Simulation and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) skills.

+ Prototyping experience.

Work Environment

Work within a large manufacturing environment with an attached office. Collaborate with approximately 10 engineers locally and globally. The work schedule includes four days in the office and one day remotely. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $63.00/hr.
