Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Generate accurate and timely invoices for customers and clients based on contracts or agreements.

+ Monitor accounts to ensure timely payment and proactively follow up on overdue accounts to minimize outstanding balances.

+ Reconcile and track customer payments, applying them to accounts accurately.

+ Communicate with customers regarding invoicing questions, payment issues, or discrepancies, and provide top-notch support to resolve concerns.

+ Maintain detailed and organized records of receivables transactions and customer account details within accounting systems.

+ Analyze accounts receivable aging reports and identify potential risks or trends, reporting findings to management.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing disputes and ensure the accuracy of invoices and account information.

+ Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes related to receivables.

+ Generate routine and ad hoc financial reports related to accounts receivable, helping management make informed decisions.

+ Support audits by providing documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting policies.

+ Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounts receivable function and recommend solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.

+ Proven experience in accounts receivable or similar accounting roles.

+ Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), or customer relationship management systems.

+ Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and basic accounting principles.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

+ Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

+ Strong organizational and time-management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and internal staff.

+ Ability to handle sensitive customer and financial information with confidentiality and professionalism.
