Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences has partnered with a **leading pharmaceutical company in Cambridge, MA** that is seeking a **highly motivated and innovative Scientist** to join the **Target, Disease & Systems Biology (TDSB)** team.
In this fully onsite, lab-based role, you will collaborate with the Pre-clinical Omics Research team to:
+ Investigate disease biology
+ Uncover novel pathways and mechanisms
+ Identify strategies to address unmet medical needs across therapeutic areas
This is an exciting opportunity to apply **cutting-edge molecular biology and spatial technologies** to advance therapeutic discovery. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in **bulk RNA-seq, single-cell/single-nucleus RNA-seq (sc/snRNA-seq), spatial transcriptomics, and spatial proteomics** —along with scientific curiosity and problem-solving skills—to deliver impactful research.
We are seeking someone who can independently design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret complex datasets, and effectively communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, creativity in experimental design, and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
+ **Experimental Design & Execution:** Conduct bulk RNA-seq, sc/snRNA-seq, NGS, and spatial assays (GeoMx, Visium, Xenium, Phenocycler-Fusion); optimize and troubleshoot protocols.
+ **Data Analysis & Interpretation:** Collaborate with bioinformatics teams on high-dimensional omics data; interpret results to guide target identification and validation.
+ **Technology Development & Innovation:** Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to developing novel workflows and platforms.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work with scientists across biology, chemistry, and computational disciplines; present findings in team meetings.
+ **Documentation & Reporting:** Maintain accurate records and prepare technical reports, summaries, and presentations.
Qualifications
+ **Education:** Master’s or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Genomics, or related field.
+ **Experience:** 3–5 years in academia or industry, with expertise in transcriptomics and spatial biology.
Required Expertise:
+ scRNA-seq and snRNA-seq
+ Bulk RNA-seq
+ Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)
Preferred Expertise:
+ Spatial transcriptomics (10x Genomics Visium/Xenium, NanoString GeoMx)
+ Spatial proteomics (Akoya CODEX/Phenocycler-Fusion)
+ Tissue handling, imaging, histology
+ Familiarity with bioinformatics tools/pipelines
Additional Skills:
+ Strong problem-solving and scientific curiosity
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
