Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial functions, including invoice matching, data entry, and accounts payable/receivable processing.

Responsibilities

+ Process and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable transactions.

+ Reconcile bank statements and assist in month-end and year-end financial closings.

+ Generate financial reports and assist with audits by providing requested documentation.

+ Verify the accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.

+ Enter and update financial data in accounting software systems with a high level of accuracy.

+ Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.

+ Monitor overdue accounts and perform collection activities as needed.

+ Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding billing and payment issues.

+ Support other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

+ Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.

+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.

+ Effective communication and organizational skills.

+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

+ Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures.

+ Experience with payroll processing or financial statement preparation is a plus.
