Job Title: Electrical Designer

Job Description

Join a dynamic Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Consulting Engineering firm known for its extensive experience in providing consulting engineering services to K-12 Education, Higher Education, Healthcare, Commercial, and Institutional clients. With over 50 years of combined experience, we offer comprehensive engineering services from preliminary studies, conceptual design, cost estimating, and detailed drawings to construction phase services. Our engineers are accredited professionals in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design through the United States Green Building Council, emphasizing sustainable and efficient building practices.

Responsibilities

+ Create detailed electrical drawings under the direction of a licensed engineer using Revit.

+ Perform drafting and design of lighting, security products, electrical, and data building design independently for smaller or less technical projects.

+ Work under the supervision of a senior engineer for complex projects.

+ Prepare CAD and REVIT production drawings of electrical systems from schematic to construction design phases with the assistance of technical staff as needed.

+ Participate in value engineering sessions with the Architectural/Engineering team.

Essential Skills

+ Associate's degree in drafting or architectural technology with experience in drafting electrical systems.

+ Proficiency in Revit and CAD software.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a long term contract, fully remote position based out of Edwardsville, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
