Job Title: Engineering Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Engineering Technician to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is mechanically inclined and thrives in a proactive and resourceful environment. You will play a crucial part in prototyping and testing as part of our new product development.
Responsibilities
+ Prototype and build test fixtures using manual machining and custom part fabrication.
+ Run protocol and exploratory tests to ensure quality and efficiency.
+ Maintain lab equipment and manage lab space effectively.
+ Execute early concept tests and pilot production for new products.
+ Ensure excellent documentation and analytical records.
Essential Skills
+ Engineering degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field with 0–2 years of experience, or equivalent hands-on experience of 3–4 years without a degree.
+ Strong hands-on aptitude for fabricating fixtures using tools like drill press, bandsaw, and grinder.
+ Experience with operating lab equipment and 3D printers.
+ Excellent documentation and analytical skills.
+ Proactive mindset with a strong initiative.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with woodshop tools and techniques is a plus.
+ Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills.
+ Resourceful and able to seek new tasks proactively.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite role at a large manufacturer of medical products. The work environment is dynamic and hands-on, with a focus on manual machining and test fixture creation. The role includes prototyping, testing, and pilot production, with 3D printing and laptops provided. Dress code is business casual.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
