Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and financial operations, who thrives in a dynamic and detail-oriented environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes while supporting the overall management of accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.

• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain proper financial records.

• Lead month-end close procedures, ensuring all deadlines and compliance requirements are met.

• Oversee daily accounting operations to maintain consistency and accuracy.

• Perform general ledger reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Handle accrual calculations and adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Supervise payroll processes to maintain compliance and efficiency.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows and improve processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

• Management & Full cycle accounting experience.

• Strong expertise in account reconciliation and general ledger management.

• Proficiency in journal entry preparation and month-end closing procedures.

• Familiarity with accrual accounting and payroll processes.

• Strong preference for manufacturing

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
