    Operations Lead / Manager (Title Flexible)

    • Palo Alto, CA (5 days onsite)

    • $100,000 – $120,000 base (stretch up to $130,000 DOE) + 10–15% bonus + benefits

     

    Jennifer Fukumae with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is partnering with a rapidly growing venture capital firm. They are seeking an Operations Lead/Manager to join its Palo Alto headquarters. With significant assets under management and continued expansion on the horizon, the firm provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the inner workings of venture capital while working alongside investors, founders, and senior executives.

     

    This is an ideal role for an ambitious, intelligent, resourceful, and eager to grow into a Chief of Staff. The firm fosters a collaborative, high-energy culture and offers direct access to leadership and investors, making it a strong platform for career growth in VC operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Meeting & Investment Support

     

    + Track portfolio updates and investment team priorities using Airtable (or similar tools).

    + Prepare, organize, and manage documentation for weekly pitch and portfolio review meetings.

    + Ensure materials are accurate, timely, and presentation-ready.

     

    Project & Investor Support

     

    + Support a team of investors, keeping projects, deliverables, and priorities organized.

    + Manage quarterly reporting and other investor communications with accuracy and professionalism.

    + Implement and streamline workflows using Notion, Airtable, or comparable systems.

     

    Office & Operations Management

     

    + Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring a polished and professional environment.

    + Anticipate investor and guest needs, from meeting logistics to hospitality.

    + Serve as a primary point of contact, fostering a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

     

    Event Planning & Relationship Management

     

    + Plan and execute investor dinners, sponsorships, and high-profile events.

    + Manage guest lists, vendor relationships, and logistics to ensure seamless experiences.

    + Represent the firm with polish in interactions with executives, investors, and UHNW individuals.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + 2–4 years of experience in a startup, venture capital, or other fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

    + Strong project management and organizational skills; able to “wear multiple hats.”

    + Experience with Airtable, Notion, Monday.com, or similar platforms.

    + Prior event planning and executive support experience.

    + Strong communicator, with the professionalism and confidence to interact directly with founders, general partners, and investors.

    + Experience developing and implementing operational policies and procedures is a plus.
