Job Title: Construction Superintendent Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team in Grand Rapids. The role involves overseeing the general management and execution of construction projects, creating schedules with assigned Project Managers, and ensuring projects remain on schedule. The Superintendent will oversee on-site subcontractors daily and maintain communication with the Project Manager, clients, and executives.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee the daily construction of a project.

+ Manage subcontractor relationships and project teams.

+ Communicate daily with project management and trade teams assigned to your project.

+ Oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

+ Perform weekly project updates for clients and executives.

+ Hold on-site subcontractor and client meetings.

+ Ensure construction schedules and budgets are met.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in construction, construction management, commercial construction, and construction supervision.

+ Ability to manage general contractor and subcontractor relationships.

+ Proficiency in project management, OSHA 30, supervision, quality control, project scheduling, site construction, construction safety, and blueprint reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Must have several years of experience in construction site supervision.

+ A valid driver's license.

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs daily.

+ Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and construction project management software such as Procore.

+ A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Work Environment

The position requires 40-45 hours per week on-site. The superintendent will report to the Grand Rapids office and be responsible for their specific job site. This role involves managing one job at a time with a small overlap between project takeoffs. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.27/hr.
