The Job:
As a **Shipping & Receiving Supervisor** , you’ll be part of our Industrial team working as an on-site employee responsible for overseeing and coordinating all shipping, receiving, and material handling operations for our aerospace manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant movement of materials—including bar stock, forgings, and finished fittings—while maintaining adherence to aerospace industry quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-precision operation. **You’ll get to:**
• Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities, including incoming raw materials (bar stock, forgings) and outgoing finished aerospace products.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Purchasing departments to prioritize shipments and receiving schedules.
• Ensure all shipments comply with customer specifications, aerospace industry standards, ITAR regulations, and applicable export/import laws.
• Oversee preparation of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, export documentation, and certificates of conformance.
• Manage receiving inspections for incoming materials to confirm accuracy against purchase orders and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through the ERP/MRP system, ensuring timely updates for material movements.
• Lead, train, and mentor shipping/receiving personnel to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Monitor carrier performance, negotiate freight rates when applicable, and resolve any shipment delays or discrepancies.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards, company policies, and proper handling/storage of aerospace-grade materials.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase department efficiency and reduce errors.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

+ High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in shipping/receiving.
+ 2+ years in a supervisory experience in aerospace, manufacturing or regulated industry.
+ Strong knowledge of aerospace material handling, including bar stock and forgings.
+ Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and export compliance requirements.Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (experience with Avante a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
+ Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking capabilities.
+ A commitment to safety practices and continuous improvement.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
+ Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs. regularly.

The base pay range for this position in California is $76,100.00 - 106,600.00 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
