    Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, part of Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a full time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our amazing Level One Wound Care Team.

     

    Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

     

    Regional coverage for Memorial Hospital, McLane Children's and Continuing Care Hospital

     

    PRN Variable shifts to cover M-F 7:30-4pm, 8:00am- 4:30pm, 8:30am-5pm.

    Job Summary

    You will work as needed as a Wound Care Registered Nurse, applying our nursing model to patient care. Your role includes assessing patients and addressing nursing issues related to health problems. You will also evaluate patient responses to care. Your job involves more than nursing. Help patients safely navigate their healthcare journey by understanding their needs. Ensure patients move smoothly through healthcare encounters without complications or delays.

    + Complete detailed clinical assessments following standard practices to prioritize patient and family needs. Adjust care plans to reach desired outcomes.

    + Participate earnestly in initiatives aimed at improving quality and performance.

    + You will strive to relieve physical and emotional pain, promoting healing for the patients under your care.

    + You will acknowledge and respect patients' unique differences and incorporate them into tailored care plans.

    + Advocate for patient confidentiality and autonomy at all times.

    + Become a resource for learning, facilitating educational opportunities for patients, their families, and staff.

    + Maintain a spirit of collaboration, partnering with colleagues and the community to improve patient care.

    + Apply resourceful problem-solving skills with a systems-thinking approach.

    + Continue to develop as a professional, taking part in professional development opportunities and providing community service when available.

    + Possessing a solid understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures will enable you to thrive in this role.

    + Awareness of the laws, rules, regulations, standards, and guidelines of certifying bodies is necessary.

    Qualifications

    + Must have completed an Associate's degree in Nursing.

    + Prefer BSN

    + **Should have a minimum of (3) three years of experience in a related field.**

    + Registration as a licensed nurse is mandatory (RN)

    + Basic Life Support certification (BLS) is required within (30) thirty days of starting the job.

    + Highly Prefer Wound Care Certification

    + Highly Prefer Wound Vac experience
