As a Senior Finance Analyst - Foreign Currency at Siemens
Energy within the Cash & Bank/Foreign Exchange accounting team you will
collaborate closely with various multi-national internal partners to manage and
mitigate foreign exchange risks affecting our North American operations. Your
responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective hedging
strategies, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting of derivatives and
foreign currency cash flows, and driving automation and digitalization initiatives
to enhance efficiency. Flexibility in your schedule is essential, particularly
during month-end closing periods, to adapt to changing requirements in a
dynamic work environment. This role also includes assisting in supervisory
duties to ensure effective team collaboration, performance, and workflow
management.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
+ Identifyforeign exchange risks and exposures, advise internal partners on hedgingstrategies and accounting practices to align with business objectives.
+ Manageand reconcile cash flows in foreign currency accounts, implementingforeign exchange contracts while optimizing financial performance.
+ Leadmonth-end processes, including calculating and recording derivative fairvalues and conducting general ledger reviews, to ensure compliance withaccounting, treasury, and corporate foreign exchange policies, includingIFRS and internal accounting guidelines.
+ Driveprocess efficiencies by implementing automation solutions andcollaborating with cross-functional international teams to enhanceoperational workflows and support strategic goals.
+ Supportsupervisory duties by assisting with daily team operations and taskprioritization; mentoring junior analysts; addressing workflow challengesand serving as a point of contact for partner concerns and issueresolution.
What You Bring (requirements)
+ Bachelor’sdegree or equivalent experience in Accounting; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
+ Over5 years of progressive accounting experience in a large enterpriseenvironment with FX accounting experience.
+ Advancedproficiency in Microsoft Excel, SAP, and ERP systems, with stronganalytical and technical accounting skills for operational improvement andproblem resolution.
+ Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills, capable of conveying complexinformation and facilitating effective meetings. Skilled in collaboratingwith key stakeholders & other teams to drive effective solutions orresolutions.
+ Highintegrity, dedicated, and resourceful, with a focus on achieving goalsindependently and within teams. Occasional travel may be required.
+ Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the United States and/orCanada without need for current or future employer-sponsored workauthorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship maybe eligible for internal transfers.
