Protecting our investors from risk requires clear goals, big ideas , and resolute action. As part of the Risk & Security Engineering track, you’ll build security-focused technology solutions that keep Vanguard safe day in and day out.

Vanguard’s College to Corporate Internship Program is an immersive, hands-on experience at one of the world’s leading investment firms. Extensive training, real-world experience, hands-on opportunities, and mentorship from professionals will all aid in broadening your technical expertise . You’ll receive exposure to the software life cycle and positively impact our clients through exciting assignments. Make it count!

In this internship you will:

+ Build high-impact solutions that enable Vanguard to perform at its best and do what’s right for investors

+ Support achieving client outcomes and giving our investors the best chance at investment success

+ Gain hands-on experience in secure software development and cloud environments, including exposure to areas like Security Architecture, Identity and Access Management, and DevSecOps

+ Practice Agile & LEAN methodologies in a dynamic environment

+ Strengthen technical skills such as pipeline code security, API security , endpoint defense, and AI/ML tooling

+ Share insights and drive outcomes individually and in collaborative, supportive environments

+ Build a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers

+ Meet regularly with your department manager and internship program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorshi p

What it takes

+ In pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, IST, IT, CIS, Security, Risk, Cybersecurity or related technical/engineering subject matter required

+ Strong interest in web, mobile, and/or application development

+ Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred

+ Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations

+ Effective analytical, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a team-oriented environment
