Responsibilities:

- Responsible for working under general direction for the SEIT Technical Execution Lead to define the environmental requirements and ensure traceability from Level 4 down to Level 6 within the specification tree.

- Responsible for frequent interorganizational interactions to carry requirements through the design.

- Responsible for collaboration with systems engineers and other disciplines to support the development of the NGI deliverables.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:

- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline Science Technology Engineering or Math with 5 years of related engineering experience or a Masters degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience or a PhD in STEM with no experience

- Solid foundational understanding of Systems Engineering

- General understanding of all design disciplines

- Demonstrated experience in requirements development and decomposition validation and verification

- Demonstrated experience in requirements traceability

- DOORS or other requirements Management Experience

- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical personnel

- Interim Secret DoD security clearance or higher - Most work is performed in a closed area

Preferred Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer:

- Systems Engineering experience

Requirement decomposition functional flow diagrams Use case analysis

- Experience working fast paced development programs

- Sysml or Cameo Experience

The pay range for this position is $63.00 - $85.00/hr.
