Job Description:
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking compassionate and motivated Behavior Technicians to support students within the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally through behavior support strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of school psychologists or behavior analysts.
Support students with behavioral, emotional, or developmental challenges in classroom and school settings.
Collect and record data on student progress and behavior.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote positive behavior and academic success.
Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s degree or higher preferred).
Experience working with children or individuals with special needs.
Familiarity with behavior management strategies and techniques.
Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The Behavior Technician works to facilitate educational andbehavioral services with children and adults with special needs andcollaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists toachieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required
+ Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
