    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a Staff to Senior Accountant to join a growing regional healthcare organization based near Plano, TX. This role is key to ensuring financial accuracy, supporting month-end close processes, preparing internal financial reports, and acting as a resource to the accounting team. This is a direct hire role onsite in Plano, TX (5 Days a Week Required).

    Essential Duties:

    •        Record journal entries and ensure timely period-end close.

    •        Reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts, resolving discrepancies.

    •        Prepare financial reports and 12-month trend analyses for leadership.

    •        Review staff accountant journal entries and reconciliations.

    •        Guide AP on coding and treatment of multi-period expenses.

    •        Assist with budgeting and forecast data preparation.

    •        Support internal and external audit requests and templates.

    Qualifications:

    •        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    •        2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or hospital settings.

    •        Direct hire experience ranges from staff to senior-level professionals.

    •        Strong communication and analytical skills.

    Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:

    •        Proficiency in financial reporting and journal entry processing.

    •        Experience with ERP/EMR systems and Excel.

    •        GAAP knowledge and ability to support audits.

    •        Excellent organization, time management, and documentation skills.

    **Travel Requirements:** No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

    **Salary Range:** SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable annual salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 (Staff) and up to $100,000 (Senior).
