B&C Mechanical is looking for 1-2 HVAC foremans to lead teams on anything from small retail to large warehouses. They'd be giving instructions, lining up tasks, overseeing day to day work in the field, reading blueprints, and communicating with higher level field superintendents and interfacing with B&C management team.

Pay would be negotiated. They generally pay foreman up to $50/hr but they do not want us to advertise the job as that because they're worried about getting a bunch of $30/hr guys asking for too much money.

Primary Job Function:
To present the company to General Contractors, building owners, business owners, home owners & commercial customers. To complete projects & replacement projects within/under budget and complete projects to be profitable. Accountable for all projects and customer relationships between the company and all clients.
Duties:
+ Schedule & keep appointments with GC & customers as scheduled.
+ Effectively develop & communicate job progression with GC & Project Manager
+ Maintain reporting of project update daily to Project Manager. Update by the week and three-week look ahead of project planning, upcoming schedules and project follow up
+ Contribute to the development of products/services to GC & clients
+ Increase & maintain profitable projects by working with GC/customers to identify and satisfy GC/customer needs and hurts through the appropriate application communication
+ Proactively target & establish relationships with GC, customers & vendor allies to meet project deadlines & retain GC/customers and position the company as the sole source provider of choice for their HVAC/R services.
+ Develop accurate project completions by obtaining correct information from the building/jobsite & communicating this to your project manager.
+ Responsible for job planning, man power, material ordering, scheduling & communicating to Project Manager (one week and two week) Consistently plans and provides needed material orders to the Project Manager at least one week in advance. Keeps material organized on jobsite.
+ Responsible for creating the job mobilization plan which includes: Ductwork Detail/takeoff, Material take off, RTU/Curb Layouts, Equipment and tool needs. Provides mobilization plan to the Project manager for mobilization assignments.
+ Coordinating & follow through with site superintendent & other trades
+ Self motivated & reliable

+ Team player - Manages day-to-day production and performance for the Install team. Meets Foreman utilization goals.
+ Able keep labor & material cost down & within/below budget
+ Assist in all project change orders
+ Assist in redline development of project
+ Review blueprints & specs for risks & opportunities
+ Professional demeanor
+ Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
+ Safe work practices in support of OSHA Health & Safety. Completes Safety Tool Box Talks/Report. Responsible for leading install team in safe worksite practices.
+ Ability to follow written & verbal instructions
+ Must be organized & on time
+ Available for light travel to surrounding areas of Kansas City
+ MUST be able to stay on task, meet deadlines & focus on details
+ Responsible for meeting with Project Manager assigned to the project to establish approach to completion within/under budget
+ Distribute all project drawings, specifications & other job related information to Project Manager after completion of project (Material to be picked up, start up sheets, job photos, md & sr # on equipment etc; etc;)
+ Establish working relationships to address GC/customer needs & hurts and discuss project strategy within the company in the areas of project start up, during the project phase, material purchasing and project completion to help streamline our operations.
+ Provide feedback to the Project Manager regarding project issues, project scheduling, material ordering, profitable revenue opportunities and GC, customer and employee issues.
+ Develop & drive winning GC/customer action plans to successful closure of project to meet company sales objectives.
+ Develop & maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s products and services, competition; customer’s needs, requirements and business issues; industry trends.
+ Turn in all required paperwork to the Project Manager within 24-48 hours of needing material or scheduling of sub contractors. This includes necessary notes, pictures, equipment information, etc.; to adequately communicate the job to the Project Manager.
+ Other duties as assigned for accomplishing the revenue plan and sales objectives.
+ Be available to answer questions that may arise related to the project.
+ Manage more than one project at a time
+ Perform duties with minimal supervision in remote areas
+ Knowledge & experience in proper use & safe operations of scissor lifts, hand tools, equipment necessary to perform all work assignments
+ Ability to stand or squat for extended periods of time
+ Ability to lift, move and carry heavy material over 50 lbs.
+ Ability to climb stairs, ladders & work at extended heights
+ Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), i.e. but not limited to, dusk mask, gloves, eye protection and hearing protection and be responsible for leading install team in their use of PPE.
+ Ability to wear a company uniform & to maintain a neat professional personal appearance
+ Coordinate & process all assigned projects
+ Attend job meeting & note taking at job meetings
+ Possession & tracking of all bid documents, blue prints, specifications, addendums & change orders that have been issued
+ Provides leadership for Installers and Helpers including training opportunities on the project.
Required Qualifications:
+ Master Mechanical License (preferred)
+ Knowledge of industry
+ Proficient in blue print reading & understanding
+ Reading & interpreting project specifications
+ Communication & phone skills
+ Ability to multi-task
+ Organized & timely in tasks, calls & projects
+ Two to five years of proven completion of projects
+ Time & activity management skills
+ Valid driver’s license
