    JOB SUMMARY

    The Director, Enterprise Expense Reporting & Data Management is a strategic leader responsible for the design, implementation, and continual evolution of the organization’s enterprise-wide expense and data reporting functions. This role ensures accurate, timely, and actionable financial and operational information is delivered to senior leadership and key decision-makers. The Director serves as the architect of reporting frameworks, a champion of process innovation, and a vital liaison between cross-functional teams including management, data owners, and IT partners. Reports directly to the VP, Enterprise Cost Management and Oversight, and works closely with executive leadership, business management, IT, and data governance teams.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity.Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.

    + Reporting Process Development & Oversight: Design, establish, and maintain robust end-to-end reporting processes, procedures, and timelines to ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency across the enterprise.

    + Reporting Strategy & Enhancement: Identify organizational reporting needs, develop innovative solutions, and drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting cycles. Present proposals to senior leadership and secure buy-in for enterprise-wide adoption.

    + Data Infrastructure & Systems: Partner with IT and other stakeholders to optimize systems and data infrastructure, ensuring seamless data flow, strong integration, automation, and adherence to data governance policies.

    + Cross-Functional Liaison & Leadership: Act as the bridge between management, data owners, and IT, collaborating to translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions and leading cross-functional teams for successful project delivery.

    + Reporting & Analytics Delivery: Oversee the production and timely distribution of consistent, high-quality administrative and operational expense reports, dashboards, and summaries for executive stakeholders. Present key findings and insights clearly to inform strategic decisions.

    + Compliance & Data Integrity: Ensure the highest standards of data accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance are maintained in all reporting outputs.

    + Other duties as assigned or requested.

    EXPERIENCE

    Required

    + 10 years of experience in Progressive experience in financial reporting, analytics, or operational data management

    + 7 years of experience in Management or leadership role

    + 7 years of experience in Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide reporting strategies, process improvement initiatives, and managing data infrastructure.

    + 7 years of experience in Track record of effective cross-functional collaboration, project management, and driving consensus among stakeholders.

    Preferred

    + 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis and/or Expense Management and Oversight preferred.

    + 5 years of experience in Healthcare industry experience

    SKILLS

    + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    + Strong technical proficiency with financial systems, enterprise data tools, and reporting platforms.

    + Process Orientation: Skilled in designing and refining efficient, end-to-end processes.

    + Analytical Acumen: Ability to synthesize and interpret complex financial and operational data for diverse audiences.

    + Change Leadership: Proven effectiveness in championing and managing organizational change.

    + Collaboration: Adept at building relationships and working collaboratively across multiple teams and functions.

    + Technical Fluency: Comfortable working closely with IT and understanding system “plumbing” and data pipelines.

    + Results-Driven: Committed to delivering timely, reliable, and actionable information that supports enterprise decision-making.

    EDUCATION

    Required

    + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.

    Preferred

    + Masters in Business Administration
