Summary
The **Heavy Capacity Solutions Specialist** interfaces between Fairbanks Scales Sales, Distribution, Service and Meridian Manufacturing facility in order to supply cost effective custom weighing solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Essential Job Duties
+ Provides cost effective custom scale products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
+ Provides illustrative prints or drawings to customers, distributors, contractors, sales, service and other entities that are involved in the course of quoting special products.
+ Communicates with the appropriate engineering resource for the purpose of providing Fairbanks customers with custom weighing solutions.
+ Estimates cost associated with modifying standard product.
+ Utilizes Fairbanks Scales ERP system to locate and understand cost structure.
+ Develops effective business working relationships with all the individuals that are involved while quoting special or standard products.
+ Supports all heavy capacity and other products that are designed, built, shipped or sold out of the Fairbanks Scales Meridian Manufacturing facility.
+ Participates in product training classes in scheduled classroom environments as well as web-based training.
+ Demonstrates a basic knowledge of federal regulations and other regulatory bodies affecting responsible products.
+ Demonstrates a basic knowledge of the truck, track and floor scale market and the competitors' comparable products.
+ Participates in conference calls and web meetings with Sales, Service, Distribution and customers as required to help define the best customer solution as part of the overall sales process.
+ Communicates with Managers, Directors, VP's and division support personnel as appropriate to coordinate joint activities and exchange information.
+ Participates in personnel and subordinate learning activities.
+ Works with Product Management and Marketing Services to create Sales support and collateral materials regarding non-standard products.
+ Works with purchasing, outside vendors and contractors to get pricing on products not carried in our system.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Required Qualifications** - Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)
+ Associate's degree in business or a related technical field or equivalent experience is preferred.
+ Minimum of two (2) years' experience in scale, process control equipment or software support is preferred.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office products - specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
+ Experience in costing industrial equipment, sales or custom products is preferred.

+ Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.

**Work Environment** - Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
+ General manufacturing environment. Periodic exposure to high noise levels and some outdoor working conditions.
+ The typical schedule is weekdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, but minimal travel and weekend availability may be required.
+ Must be able to don PPE including hearing protection, safety boots, or glasses where required in the on-site manufacturing areas.

+ Physical demands are medium, consisting of using various Fairbanks Scales scale products, office equipment and computers.
+ Required to use close vision and be able to focus.
+ Regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to sit, stand and bend at the knee and waist, and walk.
+ Must be able to have repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement to type and work on computer.
+ Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work on computer, telephone, and related office equipment.
+ Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
