Occupational Therapist- FlexStaff
FULL TIME - TEMP POSITION IN FLUSHING, NY.

FlexStaff is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our clients compassionate team and provide vital care to our vibrant elderly community.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop personalized treatment plans for participants referred by healthcare providers.
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions at our PACE site or in participants' homes, nursing facilities, and other settings.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and update care plans, ensuring each participant receives top-tier care.
- Keep detailed, accurate documentation on evaluations, progress, and discharge summaries.
- Stay ahead of the curve by participating in continuing education, contributing to clinical training, and keeping our team at the forefront of best practices.
- Recommend equipment and resources to support participant independence and safety.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives and clinical education programs.
Qualifications:
- A licensed **Registered Occupational Therapist** in New York State with a passion for working with older adults.
- A team player with excellent rapport-building skills and the ability to adapt to diverse settings.
- Experienced in geriatrics or working with frail populations (preferred but not required-training provided).
- Able to travel to participant homes, nursing facilities, and clinics as needed.
- Knowledgeable about PACE regulations and familiar with EMRs like Care Compass (a plus!).
- Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 1 year of experience as an OT, preferably with a geriatric or frail population.
- Current NY State licensure and all necessary immunizations.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, depending on participant demographics.
