    Flexstaff is currently hiring a Full Time Board Certified Behavioral Analyst. One BCBA needed for Manhattan and a second in the Bronx. The BCBA Provides leadership, supervision, and guidance to Behavioral Analysts and BIS staff in the performance of their jobs, within the various residences. Ensures that BIS staff within the residences understand and implement best practices that follow the tenants of Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) and Applied Behavioral Analysis, and that Support Plans and strategies will be implemented consistent with a Person-Centered Philosophy.

    POSITION DUTIES:

    + Develops or revises policies, procedures, and standards for use within the Residences and the department. Develops and implements systems for monitoring the provision of services. Is a support to our affiliates in the area of Behavior Services. Possesses sufficient knowledge base to consult both with the department and outside of it.

    + Meets regularly with residence BIS staff. Provides administrative supervision, as well as clinical supervision when indicted. Prepares and conducts staff evaluations.

    + Acts as liaison between Behavioral Services and clinical departments. Communicates changes in practices/procedures to relevant supervisors.

    + Ensures proper documentation including but not limited to, Individualized Service Plans, Comprehensive Functional Assessments, Behavior Plans, Human Rights Presentations, data sheets, and progress notes. Ensures OPWDD Survey standards for BIS services are met.

    + Develops and implements a system of in-service trainings for all agency staff, including orientation training.

    + Screens, hires, and trains new BIS staff within the Residences.

    + Participates in agency committee meetings as assigned or necessary, such as the Human Rights Committee.

    + As an adjunct to the direction given to BIS staff, conducts regular visits to Residences to meet service participants, review records and speak with program staff.

    + Ensure that BIS staff uses Functional Behavioral Assessments to identify causes of challenging behavior and that they use this information to teach communication and skill development to effectively reduce the incidents of behavior.

    + Ensure that BIS staff are effective in advocating for the Minimum Effective Dose (MED) of psychotropic and behavioral medications as possible.

    + Ensures that BIS staff modify an individual's support plan as soon as a new behavior is exhibited or when there is a significant increase in a challenging behavior.

    + Works with Training and QA department to ensure that agency has at least three SCIP-R instructors and all BIS staff hold current SCIP-R certifications.

    + Provides Quality Assurance reviews of all support plan on an annual basis and as needed.

    + Performs all other duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + Master's degree in psychology. Must have PhD in Psychology or Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA).

    + A minimum of three years post masters experience in the field of developmental disabilities.

    + Must be able to work nontraditional work hours including evening, weekend and overnight as needed.

    + Leadership and/or administrative experience preferred.

    + Performs all job responsibilities in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Adheres to the agency's corporate compliance program, including the code of business conduct, the NYS and federal false claims acts, whistleblower protections and mandatory reporting. Completes corporate compliance training at least annually. Fully cooperates in all corporate compliance investigations and reviews.

     

    The salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000/year
