    ### Job Duties

    Metro West Inspection Services was established in 1976 and is currently located in Loretto, Minnesota. We are a private company that represents multiple Municipalities for their Building Code Enforcement. Our Municipalities are located throughout the West Metro suburbs of Minneapolis.

     

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Building Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, quality control, and the ability to analyze blueprints. As a Building Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of construction sites and ensuring that structures are built to last.

     

    Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial buildings at various stages of construction.

     

    Review and analyze residential and commercial construction plans to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

     

    Identify potential safety hazards and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to mitigate risks.

     

    Provide detailed reports on inspection findings, including recommendations for improvements or corrections.

     

    Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects, and homeowners to address any issues related to building compliance.

     

    Stay updated on changes in building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.

    Qualifications

    Building Official Limited Certification

     

    Building Official Certification Preferred

    Proven experience in construction inspection or management is preferred

    Experience in commercial construction. (Inspections and Plan Review)
