    Behavioral Health Director (CV903-221) - Operations Division

     

    Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is looking to hire a Behavioral Health Director to join our highly dynamic and growing team. They will report the VP of Program Operations. The Director will provide leadership and ensure division integrity.

     

    The responsibilities are managerial in function. The Director is responsible for the administration and operations of the program(s) and is accountable for the general welfare of staff and clients. The Director oversees the supervision of the Program Coordinator, Case Manager, Fiscal Clerk, clients, and the safety/security of the program(s). The Director is responsible for ensuring contract compliance and all reporting procedures and appropriate fiscal management.

    SCOPE OF DUTIES:

    + Interact with all clients, staff and outside contacts with respect and courtesy

    + Maintain client and staff confidentially in compliance with administrative policies and procedures.

    + Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and training sessions.

    + Supervise assigned staff including the completion of performance evaluations and regularly scheduled supervisory sessions.

    + Ensure compliance with agency Administrative Policies and Procedures.

    + Develop, implement, and maintain Program Policy and Procedures Manual including ongoing review and update.

    + Prepare recommendations for the annual budget with input from direct reports anticipating personnel and operational needs for the upcoming fiscal year

    + Ensure quality delivery of all program services including but not limited to: Proper completion of initial assessments; development of service plans; ensuring all clients are referred to appropriate services; coordinate group programs; model appropriate group delivery and mentor delivery of group programs.

    + Assess staff training needs and coordinate staff development plan.

    + Conduct regular Program Management Meetings, Team Meetings, Staff Meetings and House/Client Meetings

    + Conduct regular program evaluations to ensure program integrity.

    + Ensure contract compliance and positive relationship with funding source(s).

    + Conduct regular, unscheduled off-hour visits to the program(s).

    + Actively recruit for vacant staff positions to ensure appropriate levels of staff supervision in program.

    + Network with other community agencies to develop resources for clients.

    + Represent agency and actively participate on appropriate external coalitions, committees, and meetings.

    + Ensure the collection of all data to support outcome studies required by agency or funding source.

    + Participate in the development of program start up to ensure program consistency.

    + Develop plans for new program start up along with sufficient planning in areas that support the mission of the division.

    + Participate as a member of the Division's Continuous Quality Improvement team.

    + Conduct privacy (HIPPA) risk assessments and internal privacy audits.

    + Oversee the development and delivery of privacy (HIPPA) training and awareness.

    + Ensure that all clients' records are protected and archived as per funding source agency required procedures.

    + Complete other duties as assigned.

    Credentials/Abilities:

    + Must have a Bachelor's Degree in one of the generally recognized clinical disciplines, including but not limited to psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, special education or activity therapies and five years clinical experience is preferred.

    + Supervisory experience required;

    + current driver's license, private transportation, proof of insurance coverage;

    + working knowledge of social learning theory, cognitive-Behavioral intervention and approaches, assessment and evaluation.

    + Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, and must demonstrate effective leadership, sound judgment, and flexibility.
