    Overview

     

    CORT Furniture Rental is hiring a full-time District General Manager (DGM). The DGM is responsible for balancing the performance, safety, and productivity of daily operations in the San Francisco District of our national organization. The DGM manages and/or coordinates all district operating and general administration functions, including sales maintenance, inventory management, warehouse and delivery operations, and holds responsibility for the district's profit and loss performance, ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining operational efficiency.

     

    The ideal candidate considers themself to be a “working manager” who is comfortable in a hands-on role and is committed to leading and inspiring our team with integrity.

     

    This is an **onsite** position performed from the CORT offices and distribution centers.

     

    **Pay:** Base is between $115K - $130K / year, with a management bonus opportunity. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

    **Schedule:** Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with occasional early starts or late evenings based on business needs. This 40-hour-per-week role requires flexibility during busy seasons, which typically occur from May through August.

    Responsibilities

    + Develops, recommends and implements policies for the overall district including operating plans and budgets in conformance with district and company policies and practices

    + Collaborates with the sales and operations teams to coordinate, plan and optimize sales activities

    + Manages sales activities in the Outlet Center(s) & Showrooms to increase revenue and inventory utilization

    + Leads inventory management efforts, controls, warehousing, and delivery operations

    + Ensures employee compliance with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices

    + Oversees P&L, budgets, forecasts, and purchasing

    + Responsible for safety policies and practices of a district to include OSHA, DOT, and other local/national regulations

    + Responsible for hiring and selection, training, growth and development of staff

    Qualifications

    + 4-year college degree with 10+years' work experience in warehouse operations and general management preferred

    + Excellent communication and reasoning skills, computer proficiency and account development and management skills

    + Proven track record of building relationships with external and internal customers
