Your Responsibilities

As a **Manufacturing Engineer Weld** for JD Thibodaux located in **Thibodaux, LA,** you will:

+ Mentor entry level engineers within the business unit

+ Have ownership of weld departments and ensure business goals are met

+ Contribute to the welding process strategy and smart connected factory road map

+ Provide project management leadership in capital projects with a focus on safety, productivity, and capacity

What Skills You Need

+ 4 or more years' experience in a welding manufacturing environment

+ 4 or more years' experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

+ 4 or more years' experience with problem solving and root cause analysis

+ Project management experience - Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on sequencing and scheduling tasks into a project plan

+ Demonstrated skills with electronic tools such as Creo, Creo-View

+ Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and have a collaborative mindset

+ Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs

What Makes You Standout

+ Robotic welding experience

+ Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with both salary and wage employees

+ Experience managing and applying safe systems of work without supervision and providing technical guidance when required

+ Identifies, assesses, prioritizes and manages risks without supervision and provides technical guidance when required

+ Welding Engineering degree

+ Demonstrated skills with dimensional inspection software

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

+  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience
