    As aMarketing Analyst Internfor Delta Dental of Iowa, you will work alongside our talented Marketing team to help turn data into actionable insights. This is an opportunity to analyze marketing campaigns, improve tools, and automate processes while gaining skills in programming, model development, and researching new analytics techniques to support and enhance the Marketing teams’ efforts.

     

    Here is your chance to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom with meaningful work, network with fellow interns, and grow your data analytics/marketing career all while making a difference in our community.

     

    This temporary, full-time internship will start May 18, 2026 and work from our Johnston, Iowa location. Hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

    Learning Objectives:

    + Learn how to analyze marketing campaigns and review results to look for successes and opportunities.

    + Understand programming and model development.

    + Develop new reporting tools using programming languages such as Python, Excel and VBA.

    + Research new analytic developments.

    + Build macros to automate processes.

    + Improve current marketing tools for analytics and building campaign lists.

    + Assist Marketing team with reviewing projects, sharing ideas, and enhancing tools.

    + Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external teams.

    + Complete special projects on time with high quality.

    + Engage in programs and networking opportunities to strengthen business acumen in the insurance industry.

    + Support internship program by motivating and driving participation among intern peers to fully engage with opportunities available throughout the summer.

    + Represent Delta Dental of Iowa as well as the other Delta Dental companies in a professional manner both internally and externally.

    + Maintain strict confidentiality.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Required:

    + Must be an undergraduate student working toward a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics or related fields.

    + Minimum 3.0 GPA (verified through transcript).

    + Current enrollment in a college or university.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

    + Coursework in business, statistics, research, marketing, mathematics, or related field.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills.

    + Participants will be required to submit a written analysis of project work and present a summary of analysis to leadership at the end of the program.

    + Freshman and Sophomore candidates will participate in theInsure Your Future (https://www.iowaeda.com/insure-your-future/) program with specific leadership development/networking opportunities on the following dates from 1:30 – 5:00 p.m.:

     

    a) Thursday, June 4th, 2026

     

    b) Tuesday, June 25, 2026

     

    c) Thursday, July 9, 2026

     

    d) Thursday, July 23, 2026

    Preferred:

    + Experience with Python and SQL.

    + Knowledge of VBA.
