The **Extrusion Technician I** is responsible for the production of high-quality medical device components using extrusion processes. This includes operating and maintaining extrusion equipment, handling raw materials, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

+ Operate extrusion machinery to produce tubing and other components.

+ Handle raw materials: obtain, dry, and manage logistics.

+ Collect tubing using various methods (e.g., conveyor, winding).

+ Accurately label and package finished products.

+ Complete and maintain detailed production documentation.

+ Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs).

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including clean-room protocols.

+ Perform equipment setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting.

+ Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.

Required Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

+ Experience in a manufacturing or clean-room environment is a plus.

+ Basic math and computer skills.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.

+ Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

+ Ability to work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.

+ Must be able to wear required PPE and follow safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering.

+ 1–3 years of experience in extrusion or similar manufacturing processes.

+ Familiarity with ISO standards, cGMP, FDA, or USDA regulations.

+ Experience with metrology tools (e.g., laser mic, tool scope).

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

The base pay for this position is $19.15 – $38.35 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
