Now Hiring: Receiving Clerk / Material Handler (1st Shift)

**Shift:** Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay Rate:** **$19.00/hour

About the Role

We are seeking a **Receiving Clerk / Material Handler** to support daily logistics operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, and timely support of production processes.

Key Responsibilities

+ Operate a campus truck to transport materials between multiple buildings and a local rigging location

+ Support receiving operations: unload trucks/containers and process goods receipts in SAP

+ Pull and deliver parts to production using pallet jacks, forklifts, and transport carts

+ Maintain and update inventory records via SAP and barcode scanners

+ Ensure workplace organization and cleanliness in line with 5S standards

+ Assist in stocking parts, unpacking shipments, and organizing storage areas

+ Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve logistics and shipping issues

+ Perform regular lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing/bending throughout the shift

+ Work independently and identify/resolve operational issues proactively

Qualifications

+ **Required:** Valid Connecticut Driver’s License

+ **Preferred:** Experience driving trucks up to 20,000 lbs

+ Previous computerized shipping/receiving experience (SAP experience a plus)

+ Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and work on concrete floors for extended periods

+ High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment

+ Role involves standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the shift

+ Indoor and outdoor work environment with frequent material handling

+ Safety equipment and training provided
