    As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. He/she must interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age and specific needs and to provide care in accordance with physician orders, the Joint Commission standards, OSHA regulations, nursing and departmental policies and procedures.

    Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire

     

    Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA, and in good standing with the Board of Health Professions.
