    Job Summary

    The College of Education Counseling program invites applications for two full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, tenure-track or tenured Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor positions.

    The Counseling program in the College of Education offers a CACREP -accredited PhD degree in Counselor Education and an MCoun degree with options in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. The PhD and MCoun degree options at the Corvallis campus are hybrid programs via Ecampus with a balance of in-person and online instruction.

     

    The Counseling programs reside in the Department of Counselor, Adult, and Higher Education at Oregon State University. The mission of the department is to prepare socially just counselors, supervisors, educators, counselor educators, educational leaders, researchers, and advocates. These change agents strive to be anti-racist and anti-oppressive in practice, informed by their knowledge of the structures of power and privilege, and seek to promote equitable access to and alleviate inequities within wellness and education. Department faculty, staff, and students engage in learning and shape work within their respective fields based on professional and ethical standards, critical theory, evidence-based practice and research.

    + Doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision.

    + Graduate of a doctoral program accredited by CACREP .

    + Licensed or license eligible in Oregon (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor)

    + Demonstrated commitment to educational equity and a commitment to advancing the participation of diverse groups and supporting diverse perspectives.

    What We Would Like You to Have

    + Experience mentoring and advising doctoral students

    + Experience submitting grant proposals to Federal or large Foundation agencies

    + Experience with conducting research about artificial intelligence

    + Evidence of ongoing clinical practice

    + Experience teaching in online and virtual formats

    Working Conditions / Work Schedule

    This position is based in Corvallis, Oregon. Office space is provided in Furman Hall at OSU’s Corvallis campus. Local travel for in person class meetings is required. Classes meet online weekly and/or in-person twice a term in Corvallis or Portland, Oregon. Regular attendance at faculty and College meetings is required.
