Join our team as a- **Plant Superintendent** -and lead the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes, including Extrusion, Blending, and Maintenance. Key Responsibilities:

+ **Operational Management:**

+ Manage the safety, quality, service, and cost performance of extrusion and metals production in a 24/7 operation.

+ Lead Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) efforts and associated metrics.

+ Collaborate with the leadership team to determine staffing needs and allocate resources effectively.

+ Assist in tracking departmental budgeting, forecasting, and analysis with the Plant Manager and Controller.

+ **Team Development:**

+ Develop key direct reports, including Lead Process Technicians and Project Managers.

+ Provide coaching and feedback to direct and indirect reports.

+ Identify development opportunities to improve individual and team performance.

+ Assign goals and objectives to direct reports and guide, monitor, and evaluate results.

+ **Culture and Communication:**

+ Team with Plant Leadership to define culture, promote positive employee relations, and improve communication systems and policies.

+ Collaborate with other Plant Superintendents to identify and implement best practices.

+ **Continuous Improvement:**

+ Promote and manage the continuous improvement of the Social Circle Plant by benchmarking operations and researching new industry advances.

+ Eliminate production waste and reduce variability through World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and lean practices.

+ Drive and lead cost savings initiatives and oversee WCM objectives.

+ **Process Improvement:**

+ Provide vision and identify key pieces of equipment for continual process improvement.

+ Collaborate with central engineering and JDC to enhance equipment and processes.

+ **Education:**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering Studies, or a related field (required).

+ Master’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering Studies, or a related field (preferred).

+ **Experience:**

+ Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a fast-paced environment (required).

+ Minimum of 5 years in engineering (Project Management or Process Engineering preferred).

+ **Skills:**

+ Proficient in processing, engineering, and project management skills (Root Cause Analysis, 5-WHY, WCM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, SPC preferred).

+ Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

+ OSHA Certification (30 Hour).

+ Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Microsoft Teams).

+ Proficient in electronic communication (email, communication apps, mobile phone).

+ Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

+ Effective communication skills (electronic, verbal, team environment, presentation skills).

+ Public speaking skills for small and large settings (internal and external to the site).
