**Expected salary range of $203,400 to $226,000** , varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The position will create value by managing a team that will support the development of preferred market design and commercial policy objectives and support the execution of those objectives within the PJM RTO. Advise commercial business on opportunities and risks arising from energy market design and promote and influence external stakeholders and policymakers to support Constellation’s policies through interaction with senior PJM RTO officials, trade associations, and ad-hoc coalitions. In addition, ensure understanding and compliance with all PJM RTO rules. The director will be an individual contributor and assist the vice president of wholesale market development in supervising the group that will maintain contact with the Constellation commercial, utilities, and plant personnel to ensure coordination with PJM RTO activities and issues.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with PJM and MISO management, staff and stakeholders.

+ Develop and advocate for market and transmission rules and policies at PJM and MISO that support Constellation businesses, emphasizing commercial activities.

+ Analyze, propose, and advocate for market and transmission rules and policies that support Constellation commercial business; identify emerging trends and policies that present commercial opportunities or risks.

+ Leverage expertise, resources, and learnings available within the broader Public Policy group as well as the specific business units to successfully achieve objectives.

+ Manage internal workstreams to support commercial objectives.

+ Ensure successful interconnection of new generation and uprates.

+ Contribute to the development of regulatory filings.

+ Broadly share PJM information throughout Constellation to ensure business unit and leadership awareness. Use multiple channels of communication to accomplish objectives. Proactively track and catalog relevant issues.

+ Lead, advise and mentor team members, fostering professional growth and development while building a high performing and engaged team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics

+ 12-years relevant experience in the energy, utility and/or environmental industry with a focus on public policy development and/or implementation. Or 8-years of professional experience with 6-years in the energy, utility and/or environmental industry with a focus on public policy development and/or implementation

+ Demonstrated ability to creatively solve complex problems

+ Understanding of risk and return relationships within a portfolio context and experience recommending strategies to manage risk and enhance returns

+ Ability to value and structure energy and fuel transactions

+ Ability to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences including investigators, senior management, team members and others

+ Experience with RTO/ISO stakeholder process, including 4-years of active involvement in the PJM stakeholder process or 6-years of active involvement in one or more other RTO/ISO stakeholder processes

+ Excellent communication and relationship building skills to effectively represent the company with internal and external key stakeholders

+ Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to serve as an effective liaison between corporate leadership, leaders at PJM, and key stakeholders

+ Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives in support of company policy objectives

+ Understanding of the energy industry with specific expertise in PJM markets, planning, or operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ Demonstrated expertise in transmission-related matters arising in the PJM stakeholder community

+ Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Law
