Full-Time Behavior Specialist Group Home Manager Location: Hillsborough, NJ

Alternatives, Inc. is currently seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist Group Home Manager to oversee the operations and clinical supports of a new behavioral group home. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with your leadership skills to build a supportive, person-centered environment where our clients can thrive.
What You'll Do as the Behavior Specialist Group Home Manager:
+ Oversee daily operations of the behavioral group home while ensuring a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
+ Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop/implement individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
+ Train and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in implementing behavior strategies.
+ Provide ongoing monitoring, coaching, and oversight to ensure success for both clients and staff.
+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and external providers.
+ Lead by example, fostering a culture of compassion, respect, and accountability.
What We're Looking For in the Behavior Specialist Group Home Manager:
+ Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in ABA or related field (Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, etc.) required.
+ BCaBA or enrollment in a BCBA program under BCBA supervision preferred.
+ Master's in ABA or related field strongly preferred.
+ Experience:
+ At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a NJ DDD setting.
+ Minimum 3 years of direct experience supporting individuals with I/DD.
+ At least 1 year conducting FBAs, writing/implementing BSPs, and training staff in behavior support.
+ Crisis Intervention Training (Safety Care or equivalent) required.
