Carpenter - Facilities Management - Full Time (1.0) - Day Shift

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Group Leader and/or direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor the Carpenter will provide all aspects of service in the carpentry trade with general electrical and mechanical knowledge.

Core Job Responsibilities

+ Familiar with the safe use of all hand wood working tools

+ Understanding of OSHA, Local State and DOH codes and regulations as related to a hospital setting

+ Ability to understand and complete preventative maintenance programs

+ Experienced in hanging and taping sheet rock.

+ Working knowledge of how to safely use a bucket loader and plow truck.

+ General electrical and mechanical knowledge

+ Capability of installing suspended ceiling systems

+ Familiar with reading blue prints and construction documents

+ Perform other duties as required

Education/Experience Requirements

Required:

+ High school diploma or equivalent, trade school

+ 2-3 years related experience
