    The Team & Role

     

    If you are a MECHANICAL OR MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING intern who is interested in new product and manufacturing process development, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will assist with new product development and capacity expansion programs for Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Americas business units. In this role, you will provide design for manufacturing input and coordinate activities associated with the procurement of new capital equipment. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to launch new products in our world-class manufacturing facilities, partnering with our mechanical, electrical and welding engineers. This position provides the opportunity to make an impact within our Copeland manufacturing teams while launching sustainable energy-efficient products throughout the world.

    Key Responsibilities &** **Your Day-to-Day

    + Support design and investment analyst activities for manufacturing and new product/process changes.

    + Support the design, procurement, qualification, and implementation of equipment and manufacturing processes.

    + Apply LEAN principles to develop plant layouts and material handling solutions for high-volume manufacturing assembly lines.

    + Participate in PFMEAs, capability studies, Gage R&R, and other statistical analyses, as needed, to verify and qualify production processes and equipment.​​ **What You Bring**

    + Mechanical design and layout experience

    + 3D modeling experience

    + GD&T knowledge

    + Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience

    + Prior intern/co-op experience

    + Prior experience in leadership related activities

    + Prior experience with equipment, shop operations, or an industrial environment. **Minimum Qualifications**

    + Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree in related field(s)

    + Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

    + Anticipated Graduation of December 2026 or May 2027
