    **Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS)** has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lean Practitioner to support the BDS Lean – Air Dominance Team in Mascoutah, IL.

     

    The successful candidate will be a Lean+ / Lean manufacturing expert to support Boeing Production System implementation, and maturity, working collaboratively with BDS manufacturing teams to embed the lean principles and tactics within the Production System for the MQ-25 Program to enhance the “Start Right” culture and achieve business objectives.

     

    This person will be responsible for working in partnership with BDS Program and manufacturing teams, along with other stakeholders throughout the enterprise, to drive the integration of BPS / Operational Excellence best practices to enable world-class manufacturing system performance and efficiency.

     

    The successful candidate will be expected to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach with internal and external partners and leverage his/her knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Six Sigma, safety, quality, productivity, and affordability to shape the planning, development, and execution of Boeing Production Systems solutions to satisfy program needs.

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Connect Lean principles and strategy to execution and results – mature Seek, Speak, Listen and closed loop for continuous improvement

    + Lead / develop Lean strategies and execute the plan for the MQ-25 Program to include all facets/ functions of business across Air Dominance

    + Develop and deploy systematic approach to capture and replicate innovations and improvement best practices

    + Represent Lean / continuous improvement function in Program reviews and strategic planning

    + Operationalize data analytics into daily Lean practice and priorities

    + Instructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles

    + Develops and updates instructional materials

    + Seeks out new tools and techniques

    + Tailors message to specific audience level

    + Guides the effective application and integration of LEAN implementation

    + Leads and facilitates complex and high visibility process improvement efforts

    + Develops an integrated strategy and assists with its strategic deployment

    + Applies and integrates improvement processes and tools across the full value stream for the MQ-25 Program.

    + Leads and facilitates the improvement and standardization of enterprise policies and procedures

    + Assesses business capability and capacity

    + Represents the LEAN improvements function in Program reviews

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + 8+ years of experience implementing lean principles, to include identifying opportunities and making recommendations for value stream improvements that resulted in improved business position through culture transformation.

    + 8+ years of experience planning and facilitating Lean+ workshops (e.g., BPSM /AIW / 3P / Kaizen / VSM, Process Mapping, AIW, DK)

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher

    + Project management certification

    + Knowledge and application of the Boeing Production System (BPS)

    + Previous experience with business case development, stakeholder alignment, benefits capture, institutionalization, and continuous improvements

    Summary pay range: $126,650 – $171,350 USD
