Job Title: MRI Technologist

Job Description
As an MRI Technologist, you will conduct procedures and tests using MRI equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data. Your role involves verifying patient identification, obtaining patient history, assisting patients and family members that require extra attention, ensuring patient understanding whenever possible, and maintaining patient safety.
Responsibilities
+ Verify patient identification and obtain patient history.
+ Assist and provide extra attention to patients and family members.
+ Ensure patient safety and understanding at all times.
+ Demonstrate knowledge of MRI and cross-sectional human anatomy.
+ Operate MRI scanners and administer oral and IV contrast following protocols.
+ Establish intravenous lines and follow safe injection procedures.
+ Maintain active status with ARRT or ARMRIT.
+ Interpret protocols, select appropriate scanning parameters, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
+ Administer contrast to adult and pediatric patients, ensuring eligibility and checking lab values.
+ Maintain thorough understanding of PACS, transmit images to QC, EMR, EPIC and PACS.
+ Verify and segment images at the QC station, manage orders, and ensure accurate billing.
Essential Skills
+ Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
+ Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists, or registry eligible.
+ Advanced certification in MR required within one year of employment.
+ Maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
+ Current competency in HCP BLS.
+ Experience and training to perform assigned tasks effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in patient care and imaging.
+ Ability to use professional manners and methods in patient interaction.
Work Environment
This role requires working on weekends, with hours from Saturday to Monday, 7:00am-7:30pm. The work environment is inclusive, with a mission to improve the health and well-being of the communities served. This position qualifies for a $15,000 commitment incentive, paid over a three-year work commitment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
