    Job Title: Civil CAD Drafter

    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Working with Civil Project Engineers and Project Managers on drafting and design activities related to water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems

     

    - Preparing water & wastewater construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D

     

    - Assist with quantity take-offs.

     

    - GIS figure development.

     

    - Preparing report figures for projects

     

    - Supporting other related engineering and design needs as they arise

    PROJECTS

    The company is a civil engineering consulting firm that specializes in Water and Wastewater Treatment design. They work with a variety of different cities, towns and communities across Kentucky and Indiana. They primarily design Water Distribution Systems (Facilities/Plants/Pipe Networks) and Wastewater Collection Systems (Facilities/Plants/Pipe Networks). All of these projects are for Municipal Clients (cities and towns throughout Indiana) and are either rehabilitation projects or brand new construction projects of water systems or wastewater systems. The company also does road design projects and stormwater for their clients. This person will primarily work on Water/Wastewater Projects and will also assist with some transportation and stormwater projects.

    HOURS

    Standard work week is M-Th 7:00AM to 5:00PM and 7:00AM-11:00AM on Friday Also the person can work 8:00AM to 5:00PM M-F. Average week is 40-45 hours.

     

    CATEGORIES/POSITIONS - We are looking for a CAD Specialist II or III

     

    CAD Specialist I

     

    - Knows AutoCAD and some Civil 3D

    - 0 to 2 years of drafting experience in civil industry

    - $21.00 to $28.50/hr

     

    CAD Specialist II

     

    - Professional experience using Civil 3D (2+ years)

    - 3 to 5 years of drafting experience in civil industry as a whole

    - $28.00 to $35.50/hr

     

    CAD Specialist III

     

    - Very proficient in Civil 3D, probably knows other civil design software as well

     

    - 5 to 10 years of drafting experience in the Civil Industry

     

    - Has experience drafting water / wastewater systems

    - Ability to train and mentor others

    - $35.50 to $41.50/hr

    BOWLING GREEN OFFICE INFORMATION

    - Office has 10 people in it. Mostly Civil PEs and Civil EIs. This person will be the only drafter/designer in the office.

     

    - This person will provide drafting support for the Bowling Green office as well as support of Indiana offices when needed.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    CIVIL EXPERIENCE: Candidates should have experience in one or more of the Civil Engineering specializations listed below

     

    - Land Survey

     

    - Site Development or Land Development

     

    - Road, Highway, Transportation

     

    - Water Resources: Grading, Drainage

     

    - Water / Wastewater system design - pipes and plants

     

    CIVIL CAD PROFICENCY (skills/functions needed): Candidates need to have experience with a majority of the following CAD drafting/design tasks listed below.

     

    - Create, edit, view, and analyze surfaces.

     

    - Create and edit alignments.

     

    - Create sites, profiles, and cross-sections.

     

    - Create grading solutions.

     

    - Create gravity-fed and pressure pipe networks.

     

    - Use plan production tools to create plan and profile sheets.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $41.50/hr.
