    Job Title: Medical Assistant

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in an office setting, primarily focused on telephonic and in-basket messaging. The role involves taking patient calls and coordinating with the RN staff to determine the appropriate direction for patient needs. A significant part of the role, approximately 75%, involves taking provider orders for Durable Medical Equipment requests, particularly for sleep disorders where patients are issued CPAP Machines for Sleep Apnea Therapy.

    Responsibilities

    + Handle patient calls and relay details to RN staff.

    + Focus on taking provider orders for Durable Medical Equipment requests.

    + Manage requests primarily related to sleep disorders and CPAP Machines for Sleep Apnea Therapy.

    + Ensure detailed and accurate communication with healthcare providers.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Epic software.

    + Experience in case management.

    + Knowledge of prior authorization processes.

    + Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with current BLS certification.

    + At least 2 years of relevant experience.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Neurology experience is not required but can be beneficial.

    Work Environment

    The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with shifts either from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role provides a great opportunity to gain a foothold in a reputable organization.

    This is a Contract position based out of Brentwood, Missouri.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
